About Moja

 

 

Moja means one in Swahili. Each one of the bags in the Moja collection is hand made in my home in Kenya. Years of sewing, knitting, gardening and enjoying all things design, have led me to explore my creativity with a collection of handbags. I sew, knit, weave, and embroider all the bags, using quality materials that I find in local shops, or from fabrics and products that have creative elements in them that I believe will look appealing on a bag.

I take inspiration from what's around me, especially from the local Kenyan tastes and imagery, and enjoy bringing together a variety of materials, from fabrics to local jewelry, for example Masai beads. I believe a woman's handbag should look great as well as be practical for her every days use.
